| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking was easy to get to & was not busy at all. Plenty of space when we started at 8:35 and still at return end of day. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Yes, the rumors are true, a few water crossings. However, this weekend we were able to get across without any wading or trash bags on feet, etc. Given the temps and no rain it was more manageable than other previous reports. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blow downs - easy to duck under or go over the ones that were not already cut. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
| Bugs: |
Various buggy spots where there was thick mud. |

We made the hike a lot easier by bushwhacking in a few spots (1st time doing that). If you have the app, you can easily see where to do that. We avoided two water crossings and a long dog leg turn - Probably cut off a mile? The various reports of this trail made it sound a lot more difficult than we found it to be. This was #38 for me and I thought it was one of the easiest hikes so far. Yes, there was interesting footing due to the running water on trail, a few muddy spots, and it was slightly longer mileage... But, not at complex as Tripryamid's, etc. Only two very short steep parts - one which was right at the end. I agree with another review, this trail did not have a lot of views throughout. Amazing views from the top though! |
