| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The upper part of Starr King Rd has some maintenance going on, but there are two drainage swales that must be crossed carefully and slowly unless your vehicle has high clearance. We got through ok, but we heard the bottom scraping at one point. Our two cars were the only ones there at 8am. At 1:40pm, there was another car. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in good shape. There is one blowdown not far above the old well, limbed, and on the ground - an easy step-over. Up between peaks there is an old, dead, smooth duck-under, about head high (mine, that is). Look up often as you hike there. You can guess why. |

| Bugs: |
Some black flies, noticed more on the way down, after temps moderated a bit. |

Nice OTHH outing, although the first 15 minutes saw a rain shower. |
