Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The cold brook water crossing on Amphibrach was sketchy -- not sure why the water levels seemed so much higher here (perhaps a local prior shower?).
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The section of Randolf between Shorline and Amphibrach has 3-4 midsized blow downs - 8-12"
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Lots of non-biting black flies near Appalachia and those clueless gnats up to about 3,500 feet. No bites but lots of buzzing. My hiking partner inhaled a few gnats as she is a "mouth breather" (i.e. can't breath just through her nose).
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Picked up 5 energy bar wrappers over about a mile of Airline -- I'm hoping they were not thrown away but fell out of someones pack.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day -- amazingly warm for this time of year. Lots of sunshine above tree line. Its really typical spring conditions 99% of the trails we covered. Some deep blue ice under boulders which is really pretty but we hit no areas that required any traction so rock spikes went for a ride.
