All rock hoppable, with care |

Maintained trails were in good shape. Black Pond recently blazed |

Saw none, but ample water nearly everywhere, even on the slide and Brutus |

A few skeeters and black flies |

| Lost and Found: |
A logger left a tin bucket a few decades back. Now displayed on a branch, courtesy of a previous hiker. |

| Comments: |
Perfect day for the Owl. BP herd path and Slide path up, Brutus down, both easily followed EXCEPT Brutus has a confusing spot. We crossed a stream and followed a well defined path (to nowhere)for a few hundred yards past the crossing, not realizing the path we wanted was in the stream for a while. This could also be confusing uphill, tho it's blocked by a few large branches |
