Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Picked up where I left off yesterday on South Ridge Trail (Pawtuckaway State Park). The only remaining issue between Round Pond Rd. and Shaw Trail is a large chainsaw blowdown 0.2 mi. from the road. Use caution going over or around it as it's on a steep slope. After, I walked Round Pond Rd. heading toward the Boulder Trail parking area. I cleaned up some smaller stuff and delimbed the bigger stuff. Closer to the parking area, there was a cluster of three hemlocks. One trunk remains, which I dropped at one end to make it super easy to step over instead of going under. Will be cleaned up later.

Bugs
Bugs: Black flies seem to have finally left the building. Some mosquitoes and deer flies around but overall not too bad.

Comments
Comments: Another interesting wildlife day. There were three deer sightings, two on the drive to the park and another right after I arrived, all before 8:30. As I was leaving for the day I briefly stopped traffic on the campground road so a turtle could cross.
