| Water Crossing Notes: |
Trail crosses Moose brook many times if you go from Peboamauk falls. Slippery and unstable rocks. Very shallow so feet stayed dry luckily. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few small blowdowns. Lots of blowdowns on the Cook path which is closed apparently. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The gulch seemed doable for dogs, but I am not sure. |
| Bugs: |
Lots of mosquitos, I jog to avoid them. |

My first time at the Ice Gulch. The first 1.8 miles is pretty flat and easy. The entire trail is well blazed in orange. The falls were pretty, not deep enough to swim in though. I encountered deep snow for long sections of the shady gulch. Very dangerous postholing! I would not recommend going in here for a while, if you do, turn around at the first patch of snow. The Cook path is closed and a mess of down trees and branches, but I did complete the 5.5 mile loop. |
