Comments
Comments: Did a big out an back version of a loop. Hit a lot of the main points along the SRK. Looped back to parking using the Balanced Rock trail over to the Bulkhead. I hit all of the high points along the ridge and lookouts. Man what a trek that was. I had to used all trails a few times navigating through some of the spots. Especially going out to the Bulkhead. Thank god somebody had tied ribbons along some of the lower section of the trail it helped. Really could used some love and care along the Balanced Rock Trail. Trails were really dry with a few muddy spots which were easy to navigate. Spooked a moose cooling off in Mud Pond. It was kind enough to let me get a picture before heading off into the trees. It was a fun day overall. I was surprised at how rugged and wild all the trails were. The limited/localized views were great. Mosquitos were awful!!!
