Comments
Comments: Wood Road parking lot first one there and on the trail at 6am. Showers forecasted for the morning. Out the Gilford Fire Road to the Round Pond trail. Blowdown about a mile in that has a trail around it now. By Piper Round Link the rain had started. Out and around Round Pond which was very pretty. Red Trail up to Mount Mack for the first summit of the day. Red Trail from Mack down and then back up to Anna. Rains continue. From Anna I mistakenly descended the Red trail for about a half mile. Due to pouring rain I waited to take phone out and check navigation. Back up to Anna which was rather rough and now on the Blue trail Short trip until the Marsh Crossing trail. Very nice trail thru the woods a rocky march and then a steep rock ascent up to Quarry W. Did I mention it was raining? Dave Roberts Trail from W Quarry through a few rougher sections up to Rand. From Rand continued on the DRT to the junction of the Round Pond Trail. Took DRT extension out to Klem summit. Pouring rain. Back out and onto the RPT to the nice outlook over Winni which was mostly obscured on this day. Out RPT to the Gilford Fire Road and finally some dry clothes!
