Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The only issue was the few stone water bars up higher on the trail that were clogged. Otherwise this route is in fine shape. Blazing, signage, and cairns are all good and there are no blowdowns.

Bugs
Bugs: A breeze earlier in the morning helped with the mosquitoes but it died out later. I couldn't stop for even one second on the way down. Ugh.

Comments
Comments: Lovewell Mtn. in Washington from the south. Haven't come up from this side in many years so it was like the first time again.

The Lovell Mtn. Rd. portion of the MSG had some mud and puddles, as it's an unmaintained road. The footpath section had slippery ledge and some minor mud but nothing tricky. Anything that was exposed to the sun was drying out quickly.

The spur path to the piped spring was in good shape. The water in the spring didn't look terrible, but should definitely be filtered.

The outlook ledge below the summit, also reached by a short spur path (with new signs) has a window of a view that's getting smaller as the trees grow up.

Looks like the mice have gotten into the existing summit register notebook but there's also a brand new blank notebook in there too.

The views from the ledges just off the summit are pretty obscured by tree growth now. Won't be too long until they are gone for good.

A totally quiet morning out there with no other humans sighted; just what I was hoping for. ;)
