A fantastic day to hike to two four thousand peaks on the New Hampshire 48’s. Spectacular clear weather from the mostly open Mount Osceola with clear views of a lot of Summits including the majestic Mount Washington Summit. A good straight forward trail and easy to follow. The first 1.5 miles is rocky and then several switchbacks with long slabs to Mount Osceola. Going to East Osceola is pretty steep heading there and with big rocks, but once you make your way down through the chimney section it’s a quick hike to the summit. There is a really good view point close to the East Osceola. I’m definitely happy. I made the decision to go to both peaks. My total hiking moving time was 5 1/2 hours. I stopped several times at the summits to enjoy the views. Total trip time was 6 1/2 hours.
