Comments
Comments: I don't get on this hill much anymore as I own a dog and they are not allowed. My dog Shay is recovering from a leg injury, so I thought I would sneak over to a peak I don't get on much anymore. I tried some new trails and boy am I glad I did. I did the above trails in a counter-clockwise loop over the Monte Rosa and I was very impressed. The trails had a wild feel, took a bit of route finding and we saw nobody on them, not one person!! The weather vane on MR was really cool and that Smith summit trail has some cool scrambling and slabs that kept us entertained the whole way up. I also found a nice field of Cotton grass just below the summit in a small tarn.
