Parking/Access Road Notes: Pretty crowded when I arrived just after 10 am...managed to squeeze into a spot. Best to get there earlier on the weekends if possible.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No crossings on this hike
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A maintainer was working on the lower section of Caps Ridge which definitely needed some work. By the time I returned, he had cleared all the blow downs up to the Link. Nice job!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Caps Ridge trail isn't what I'd call dog friendly, but I did see two pups on it.
Bugs
Bugs: nothing today...too windy.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful late spring day, but cold on top with a strong, west wind. Glad I had gloves. Ran into a guy who was suffering from a foot injury near Edmand's Col....I gave him a handful of pain killers and wished him luck. His English wasn't great (much better than my french) but I think his car was at the Cog station. Hope he made it, haven't seen any SAR reports about him so I assume he did. He was NOT well prepared IMO. The spring on Gulfside was running but nothing to depend on.
