Hard to believe but this mid-sized dirt lot with room for a little more than a dozen, was just about full at 7:45pm on a Wednesday night. |

The trail is blazed in orange, I don't recall the frequency. I don't think there were any blowdowns. The trail is clearly signed at the bottom but I don't recall if there was signage at the top.
Second hike of the day after (thinking) I finished my redlining at Pawtuckaway. I did an OAB on the eastern part of the Fire Tower Loop which I somehow managed to miss last time I was here (my stupidity often amazes me). I don't recall ground conditions but the main point of this report is to point out to redliners that the spur shortly before the summit is easily missed. Look for a big cairn behind you on the right with a herd path to it. Then, note that a path continues beyond and down to the left of the cairn (if facing it). I walked right by this on my way up. Beautiful sunset views from the firetower. Gaia had me at about 1.1mi, 325ft of gain, 32min. |
