Spotted one car in Gunstock Resort lot, and another along Route 11 in Gilford near Mt. Major lot, which is closed right now as a staging area for trail maintenance. Several Porta potties in lot for hiker use. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Most streams were small and dry, the couple with flow were easy rock hops |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two blowdowns encountered across trail, both decent sized hemlocks, both stepovers. First was just past Rowe by a couple tenths heading towards Gunstock. The other was a few tenths before Anna, someone limbed that one for easy stepover. Lower part of BRT off Hunstock receiving some maintence. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great trails for dogs, pretty dry right now, so bring water. |

| Bugs: |
Deerflies, skeeters, moths, gnats, lots of butterflies, and many dragonflies near Round Pond. |

| Comments: |
BRT traverse from Mt. Rowe to Mt. Major. Quiet day, only saw 9 people and one dog all day....amazing.
Trails in good shape. No colorful flowers right now, just lush green foliage. Cool glacial talus sections coming down Belknap and Anna. Mix of trails from narrow footpath to wider, ledge to soft forest duff and everything in between.
Trails well blazed by various colors in sections, good signage.
Fun day traversing the Belknaps. Bring bug spray and maybe a hat with a sticky deer fly strip. |
