Comments
Comments: Started out around 8:15a - part of the hike up to the Loop could be described as a "rooty stream" - water coming down and lots of thick roots. Some extremely muddy sections, deeper than anticipated. Going up the slide to North Hancock was rough (don't skip leg day!) and 3/4 of the way up, we got rain. Not torrents, but cold rain with some wind. At this point, we were close enough to get to the summit and move on from there. By the time our group made it to the South Hancock summit, the sun had broken through in spots and we had some nice views. The slide going down South Hancock was manageable, though the rain had made some slabs slippery. Not really sure it even rained on the Hancock Notch Trail.
