Comments
Comments: The road bypass is marked with green and white stripes or something odd like that tacked to trees. I think the blazing was regular/frequent. I believe it was signed at its start but still not terribly obvious. I don't recall the blowdown situation but I will say that the trail seemed rather eroded. Ridge Trail is signed at its start and I believe is blazed in white though I don't know how frequently since it's a road. The View Spur described in the guidebook is part of another trail shown on Gaia so i think it was probably marked as well.

Second hike of the day to finish redlining everything on the west side of the Belknaps. This was just a quick up and down on the "Road Bypass" described as a spur on pg 253 of the guidebook underneath the description of the Ridge Trail to Mt Rowe and Gunstock. I took the road to where the road bypass diverged left, followed it to the summit area, took a herd path back to the road bypass thus forming a little loop around the north side of the summit, did an OAB on the 100yd view spur (the unnamed trail just east of Rowe's Revenge on Gaia), whacked over to the road/Ridge Trail, and followed that 3/4mi back to my car. The Road Bypass is not a particularly attractive trail and was occasionally tricky to figure out in the dark where there are some turns. The road/Ridge Trail is also pretty eroded in spots. The view from the spur was quite cool at night though with all the "city" lights below. Gaia had me at 2.2mi, 700ft of gain, 58min.
