|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All water crossings for the entire loop doable, water is low. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is a half cut tree hanging over the trail with a little wood left holding it up on the Imp Ledges trail at roughly 1.2 miles in from the north trailhead that needs to be cut down. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Didn't see any |
|
| Bugs: |
Not many. Temps were in the 50s to low 60s, windy, cold the night before. That likely kept them away till later in the afternoon. |

Did the loop clockwise. Ran into about 20 people over the day, with 6 cars at the north trailhead by 8:30am and another 4 at the south trailhead. Still room for more cars at both.
Great views, cooler temps, no bugs. All water crossings for the entire loop very doable, water is low. Liked the 2.1 miles up to the ledges the best from the north trailhead (trail dry and in good shape). The ladder/steps on many YouTube videos up this way is gone (likely because it was missing so many rungs/steps).
Found returning to the road via the 4 miles loop (Imp Trail) to the south trailhead painful/boring, extra elevation needed, water and mud on 1/3 of the trail, constant rock hopping for a lot of the trail, just got tiring. Ran into a 2 doing the loop counterclockwise and they both regretted that decision. If I repeated the hike, I’d do an in and out via the Imp Ledges Trail. Can’t beat the views for just 2.1 miles of climbing.
