Comments
Comments: There is a sign at the bottom of the trail that reads “Private Drive.” I saw this and thought nothing of it. Less than a quarter mile up is caution tape tied high across the trail, followed by a camper with seemingly no one around. Interesting! The rest of this trail is a bit of a brushy mess, with occasional muck. There is a worn foot bed that helps with direction, and all intersections are signed well. Forest roads, xc ski trails, and regular wood trails make this trail up. I checked Gaia quite a few times to make sure I didn’t expand my adventure. It is definitely bear and moose country out there with all those wide grassy roads, and I definitely talked to myself very loudly just in case. Only encountered a protective spruce grouse, and not another person until I got back to Rocket21!
