Not sure if this trail has a SPNHF land steward or not but it needs some love. It's marked fairly well with blazes and cairns but the entire corridor needs to be brushed out and made more obvious. A few small blowdowns near the start. There's a map at the loop junction that I don't recall seeing last time. |

Deer flies were abundant but didn't seem to be bitey. |

Settled on this visit to the Hillsborough high point on a very hot and humid day. Hadn't been here in a while.
I recall a view up around the summit area from last time but all I saw today were trees, so I guess things have grown in.
The off-trail high point has a massive cairn that the hiking route just misses; it's less than 0.1 mi. into the woods. It would be cool if the trail could be moved to visit this. |
