Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings with the exception of the last one across Lincoln Brook before Owl's Head Path were easily rock hoppable. At the time of crossing I was unable to find a route I could confidently rock hop so I took my shoes off and waded across, no deeper than just below the knees & otherwise easy. For reference, according to the USGS the East Branch Pemigewasset River was flowing at 230ft/s and gage height was 4.33ft at the time.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Numerous blowdowns on these trails but generally easy enough to navigate over or under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any but I imagine this hike is doable for an active dog if you avoid the slide and go up the bushwhack.
Bugs
Bugs: Didn't notice any on the way in, mosquitos and deer flies mildly annoying on the hike out.

Comments
Comments: I've read a lot of complaints about this hike but I actually really enjoyed it! With the right info and expectations this hike is a lovely walk in the woods with a quick scramble to the top.
The trails are all pretty wet and muddy at the moment, not so much that it'll ruin your hike but it will definitely muck up your boots.
As a previous post mentioned, the Brutus Bushwhack is intuitively easy to follow with one misleading spot at the stream, just stay to the right here instead of crossing and the rest is easy peasy.
