This trail gets more ambiguous the higher you go. The blazing ebbs considerably about half way through. Signage would also help. Footbed is great, though |

Hike #2 on the day - this one for an NH400 and some red lining. I honestly have no idea why this trail is in the guide book due to its access, location, and restricted vistas (for effort required to get there.). The 2.25 mile road walk was welcome after Dustan, mainly because of a slight breeze that kept the deer flies away and they where absolutely cruiser miles. A very pretty walk along the Dead Diamond and Swift Diamond Rivers. I would absolutely come back here on a bike and have lunch at the confluence of those rivers. The trails footbed is pretty nice, but the signage is lacking. Alice Lookout is one of the most, if not the most, massive boulder I have ever seen. Impressive. As mentioned in the trail notes above, the blazing and foot path gets more ambiguous about 1/2 way up but is still followable. Reached the end of trail/lookout disc and then bushwhacked a very short distance to the height of land and true summit. Actually ran into two people on my way out whom where ascending, that gave me quite a fright |
