Hike #3 on the day on the way home for an NH200. I was able to drive up basically the entire way, utilizing a very nice access road. It should be noted this is a shared road with ATV's and has blind curves. I kept my speed down, mainly for dust control. The gate near the summit is signed NO PUBLIC ACCESS, however if you utilize the atv trail and then there is a somewhat define herd/flagged path that virtually parallels the road for the 0.25. The true summit is no longer there, as in it was blasted off for the windmills. I walked around the top of the crater for due diligence. Retraced steps back. |
