Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues, all rock hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two large blowdowns across the trail on Valley Way, likely from the recent rain. Both were North of the crossing with the Watson Path. The northernmost one was about waist height but was getting lower with each hiker that stepped on it. The blazes were very faded in the Northern Presidentials other than sections overlapping with the AT. This generally wasn't an issue as it was straightforward to navigate between cairns, though!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad, but a little buggy going up Valley Way and on Crawford Path from Pierce to 302. Some bugs in the muddy bits between Monroe and Pierce. I didn't have issues with bites (mostly a nuisance).
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Two items: a navy Carhartt hoody on the southern part of the Eisenhower loop, and navy(?) long underwear from Fruit of the Loom on the Crawford Path going up the Crawford path toward Pierce (between Eisenhower and Pierce). We left both on the trail.

Comments
Comments: We did a southbound presidential traverse, going up Valley Way before continuing on Airline/Gulfside to Adams (then Gulfside, Crawford path).

Wet and slippery rocks through Madison, with running water and lots of mud going up Valley Water. There were some muddy bits on Crawford Path between Monroe and Pierce, but mostly fully dry south of Washington. After a cloudy morning, the fog burned off for a beautiful above treeline day!
