Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The major crossing was an easy rock hop. Minor ones were walk across.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape. The stretch between peaks continues to erode.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few, some on leash, other not, all well behaved and enjoying it.
Bugs
Bugs: I didn't use bug spray to start. The low woods were comfortable to start. Up high, I noticed that I had been bitten a few times without having felt it. On the return, we noticed more bugs out, notably from the short piece from the ridge down to the tent site. I washed up a bit there and applied DEET, which took care of the problem the rest of the way down.

Comments
Comments: Nice outing in acceptable summer weather. I still don't like coming down that rocky stretch from the ridge past the tent site to where the grade eases onto low forest floor trail. At the end of a hike, that sort of trail really beats up my feet and legs. But I'm not young anymore.
