| Water Crossing Notes: |
these really aren't big crossings, so, the storm really didn't raise Pine Bend Brook too much - everything was rock-hoppable (easily) |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
a small sapling down across the trail on the climb up the headwall - kinda in the way but you could get around it easily enough - just an annoyance |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |

| Bugs: |
horribly vexing. I used DEET but the swampy air and sweat soon made that history. Just kinda horrible. Pretty much had to squint the entire time. Actually, could be mesmerizing listening to the constant hum in my ears. Eventually, after swallowing one, got one caught in my eye for a while - kinda uncomfortable |

| Comments: |
Kinda last minute based on my guesses about water levels in streams and distance/elevation/time available. I just really like this trail but it really really just kicks my butt every time. Very beautiful but exhausting. No views much of the day but the woods were super pretty. After I got down, took a dip in Pine Bend Brook - super refreshing with dappled sunlight through the trees. YAY |
