Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: none on this route
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All good; a few minor sticks tossed off the blue trail. Tigher section nearing the summit ridge had evidently been trimmed recently.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Could be fine for dogs on leash, please be mindful of the blueberry fields at the summit, however.
Bugs
Bugs: Deer flies and horse flies a-plenty! Slight breeze from fire tower helped somewhat.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Picked up trash at the summit, packed out.

Comments
Comments: Lovely, short stroll to the fire tower, which offers 360 views from the top. Took the blue trail (footpath) up, white blazed Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway down, which is essentially the old, fire warden road down. Good footing all around. Fire tower cab is locked, but hikers can get great views from the multiple stories of stairs.

Lots of room to have a snack on the open rocks surrounding the summit. A lock box suggests $2/quart for blueberries (you pick) at the summit ridge NW of the summit.

Happy climbing!
