| Comments: |
Started a little early to try to beat the heat, there was a nice breeze once out of the trees. Blueberries were spectacular, and in full tilt up on the ledges. We met only a few people in our travels, most of them on our way down later in the morning. Carter Ledge Trail definitely has some good scrambles, and is pretty loose just below the ledges. Middle Sister trail does not see much use, and about a third of the way down the water has had its run of the trail. We found some young black trumpets and a few yellow footed chanterelle on our descent, about where the trail meanders and follows the contours more. |
