Had to break trail for about 4 miles on 3-4 inches of snow under a crust, which broke with boots or snowshoes. Crust got thinner as we gained elevation. At Bunnell Rock, a father/son team passed us and broke trail the rest of the way. Thanks again, guys! Trail is packed out nicely right now. Views got better later in the day. Temps and winds were moderate. Great to hike with my pals Bobby and Rols!! |
