Comments
Comments: The two of us did a quick traverse of Sugar Hill a few days ago, and noticed some sections in need of attention: numerous small blowdowns, one larger blowdown, quite a bit of deadfall, and a bit of brushing. We returned today to take care of that. All blowdowns are gone on the trail except one 8- or 9-inch stepover softwood just east of the talus switchbacks prior to the view point overlooking 3A. This blowdown is de-limbed and is now just annoying -- it's at knee height and could sit for a bit, or is a candidate for an e-saw.

Some very small blowdowns remain on the woods road that connects the blazed trail with Summer Street/Route 104, but nothing major.

Finally, some blazes could use a re-fresh, in particular where the trail is in the state forest; we'll get to that in the next week.

VERY dry conditions; we need some rain.

This is a lovely little trail that even on a very hot day can be a nice walk -- almost completely shaded and always a breeze up top.
