| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No issues parking at Great Gulf Trailhead this morning at 9am. Plenty of space. There’s two areas you can park. This is a fee use area - $5 or WMNF parking pass. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I only recall one very minor blowdown on the Osgood Trail below treeline, but you can duck under it. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Didn’t see any dogs on this route today, but did see one good pup at the summit |
|
| Bugs: |
Not an issue until the very end of the hike below Osgood Trail. Even there, they were just buzzing and not biting. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
FOUND: orange dog leash hanging on a branch on Osgood Trail above the tent site. It was there on both the ascent and descent, so I packed it out. Left it at the fee payment kiosk. |

| Comments: |
This is a lovely route with a nice warmup to the Osgood tent site and then climbs steeper after that. The views once above treeline are spectacular in all directions. There was only one section with minor mud patches, otherwise the trails were dry.
Only thing I will note is that there are cross country ski trails that intersect with the Great Gulf Trail, so just pay attention to stay on Great Gulf Trail and not turn off onto a ski trail. |
