#48 for me, done as an overnight backpack. Had no trouble finding and following either bushwhack. Significant mud at beginning of BP bushwhack but not hard to skirt it. Lot of mud on sections of LBrook trail. Brutus BW definitely easier than slide path (which was really fun if lung-busting to climb!), just remember that when you get to the stream, take a few steps along/in it and then back to the path on the right. I took only a light pack with water and snacks etc up the mountain, leaving the full pack behind. Definitely the way to go. Views were terrific! |
