| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Two cars ahead of me at 7:45 along side the Kanc by the trailhead, two or three others at 3pm. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All quite easy, almost trivial rock hops. On the way down, I counted them and came up with nine that, with enough water flowing could be call "crossings." Today a few had so little water flowing they were trivial walk-across crossings. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is basically in good shape. That steep portion going up to the north peak has some ledges that have been very difficult, so the herd paths around them continue to grow. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw none. |
| Bugs: |
A few mosquitoes in the low woods. I just kept walking, and that worked well, mostly. At the wilderness boundary, I stopped to snack and there I applied DEET. No more problem at all after that. |
| Lost and Found: |
I found a baseball-size white plastic whiffle ball by the road shoulder. I took it home. |

| Comments: |
I had expected some rain showers, but there were none. Below the summits there was a fog layer. At the summits, there was dim sunshine at times. I wanted to get off the steeps on the return before 2pm, as some t-storms had a good chance of happening, but there none at all. |
