Comments
Comments: I started around 430 and was able to park in the parking lot since people for the day had come and gone. It was very very warm and I look like I was going to close out the summit for the day. It is been 11 years since I’ve been on this trail, which it’s in pretty decent shape, but still some erosion issues just like all the others. I was very surprised to see so many blackflies the summit and heading up there so I put my bugnet on and sprayed myself bug spray which did take them away. the smoke from West still hung through all the mountains making it very, very hazy. I believe I saw 1 thru hiker heading up to Eisenhower sunset before I headed back down. Grabbed some water at the last water crossing before heading out and not needing a headlamp which was perfect. Short quick and steep.
