Parking/Access Road Notes: The Appalachia lot was overflowing at 7:45 a.m.

Trail Maintenance Notes: There is one blowdown on Valley Way that is not an easy over/under but it's not new.

Dog-Related Notes: There was one very hot and tired looking dog at the top of Madison

Bugs: A few mosquitos on the way up Airline (which was damp and wet)

Comments: Until I got above treeline Airline was quite wet and slick from recent rains. In spite of all the cars in the lot I only saw one other hiker on Airline. There were several people in and out of the hut.
