Trails were drying out from the hurricane remnants, but there's still quite a bit of mud, particularly in the lower elevations. If you have fancy designer shoes and are tempted to walk off trail to avoid mud, please stay home rather than do permanent damage to the trails.
Ski trail grass and weeds are tall. Mowing has started on the Valley Run, but not near the hiking trails, so the gravel access road is the way to go if using the slopes.
