Comments
Comments: A lovely hike -- we hadn't done this since a couple winters ago, when the steep summit cone was covered in a two-inch sheet of ice under a foot or two of new snow. Fun times!

Met the nice trail maintainer in the parking area after we got back, and let him know that there were no blowdowns and no additional brushing necessary.

He mentioned that he was working to mitigate the muddiness of the first half mile or so of trail; we told him that, while appreciated, it wasn't necessary -- just wear boots and gaiters and get 'em muddy, we said. But, apparently, there's been quite a bit of trail widening over the past few years in this section as hikers go off-trail and try to avoid the mud. Oh, wells...
