Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 3 or so brook crossings on Ice Gulch Path, all rock hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One tree down on Cook Path about a mile or so from Randolph Hill Rd. Looks like lightning hit a big hardwood - there were large shards on and along the trail. Not a problem getting past really. We tossed a bunch of branches off the trail
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Wouldn't think it would be advisable to take a dog into the gulch.

Comments
Comments: We hiked this counterclockwise up Ice Gulch Path through the gulch and down Cook Path. There were junction signs at the top of the gulch indicating Cook Path and then another further down the trail. We crossed a brushy old logging road and then there was a sign over the Cook Path sign that said it was closed due to logging activity. There was no indication how to proceed from there and we couldn't return via the gulch (distance, energy, time) so we continued as we didn't hear any equipment or see any signs of recent logging. We came out to a field beside new construction and couldn't tell where the path went so bushwhacked out to the spur road and then onto Randolph Hill. We thought maybe we should have taken the Boothman Spring cut off but when we walked by that on the road it said closed. I have a message out to the Randolph Mt Club asking for guidance about this. Otherwise a great adventure in the gulch with lots of problem solving on how to get up and over and through the boulders.
