Comments
Comments: This is a great companionable trail as you can walk side by side on the two track woods/snowmobile road most of the way. There are 10 switchbacks and it can feel inefficient when you see the trail below or above you and you might be tempted to go straight, but we didn't. The top is open and beautiful with views of Shaw and Blacksnout. It doesn't take long to figure out why it's called Turtleback. The ledge has cracked patterns that resemble a turtle shell. There is a summit sign. The strange thing is when I looked at my Garmin Inreach location after sending a message from the summit, the map said Bald Knob.
