Comments
Comments: Spent the day with our heads in the clouds while traversing Slippery Brook trail from the top of Town Hall Road to the junction with Baldface Circle trail. Easy grades all the way to the junction with Eastman Mountain trail. Baldface Knob has a short steep and rough section but is much nicer on the slab a bit higher up. No views today. It was "52 without a view" on Eastman today, fully in the clouds. Quick hike up to Chandler Gorge was worth the trip - interesting chutes, slides, pools and cascades. We missed the action on Baldface Circle, where apparently over 100 folks participated in a race. We finished with a quick dip in Emerald Pool, and then an early diner at the Stowe Corner Store. If you haven't been there, they have really good food, baked goods and ice cream. Highly recommended!
