| Comments: |
The level of erosion on the first 3/4 of a mile of this trail is obscene. There were many markers/flags on the sides of this section indicating where work needed to be completed to help mitigate it. So looks like some much needed repair is planned.
Weird day, but enjoyable. Was very wet driving through the Notch, but once we got on trail it wasn’t wet at all and the sun was threatening for while. The erosion at the beginning of the trail had me feeling a bit depressed, but once we got above the slabs it became a very enjoyable hike. A bit muddy up top, but nothing terrible. It was one of those windy/foggy days that looks cool enough to make you forget you aren’t getting any views. The first half of the descent became wet from the fog, but not particularly slippery. Bottom half was still dry. Not too many people out and the ones that were appeared to be enjoying themselves. |
