Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I recall one blowdown on Great Brook Trail and three on Dura Crockett Trail. The trail sign at Devils Half Acre Pond is still confusing to me. It suggests that Great Brook Trail follows the SRKG westbound but it doesn't; it ends at the pond.

Comments
Comments: Wandering around the backcountry of New London today via Great Brook, Morgan Hill, and Dura Crockett trails. This is my favorite area of the town's 26-mi. trail system due to its wilder character. I also love trails that follow water.

I thought the upper cascades on Great Brook Trail might be nice after a couple days of rain, but the local beavers have dammed the top, reducing the cascades to a trickle. :/

The lower cascades had decent flow though, as did the cascades all along Dura Crockett Trail. There are also lots of mushrooms along these trails right now!

As expected, conditions were mainly wet with some minor mud. Only one other person seen today.
