| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the end of Hobbs Rd, wide area to turn around in and park at. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
None |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One tree down on Dearborn that has a herd path around it, another that you can kind of walk under/through. We cleared small branches as we went, mostly in good shape although the Libby Rd trail has a lot of loose scree |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
My friend got there first and a dog that lives at the house across from the parking area chased his car until they called him back and put him on a tether. He was outside barking at us (but appeared to still be tied up) when we got back to the cars. Otherwise no dogs (or people) seen on trail and I expect it would be very doable for dogs (except for the tower) |

| Comments: |
It made for an interesting loop to go up Dearborn, typical trail and down Libby Road trail, truck trail. You feel like you are getting back into civilization on a wide gravel road until the road turns sharply (and becomes Old Pound Rd) at the historic Effingham Pound (3-4 foot high rock wall) and becomes a rutted, unmaintained road back to the better maintained Hobb Rd you come in on.
Interesting old homes including the first normal school in NH on Hobbs Road on the right as you go in. |
