Comments
Comments: I hiked this once before but I guess I didn't post a trail report for it. This is a very short (1/2mi one way tops and gentle grades for about 200ft of gain) hike to a basin along Peabody Brook that has some cascades, a reasonable slip n' slide, and some shallow pools to swim in. An old road begins on the east side of the brook. Follow it for maybe 1/3mi, then come to a T-jct and turn right here onto a wider road. Follow this road for maybe another tenth of a mile before coming to the basin area. Some short herd paths lead right to it but its visible from the road. If you took a left at the T-jct it would take you to The Birches Campground but it is posted as private. I think this spot is frequented by the campers but we haven't seen anyone here either time I've been here nor has their been much trash.

Note that on Gaia, a road is shown to shortly beyond the powerline cut but not quite all the way to the T-jct. The other reason for this trail report is that I noted that the road we were following could perhaps be the easiest way to access Peabody Brook Slide. Upon looking at trail reports of those who have done this now, I see that was common knowledge to everyone but me ;P
