Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The brook crossing on King Ravine trail just before the junction with Short Line required a little leap of faith. Alternatively, trekking poles would've been useful.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Bushy blowdown (dead firs) blocking King Ravine trail just past Pentadoi on the way up. Hand saws would de-limb it easily.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one near the hut. Mine stayed home due to lack of snow cover
Bugs
Bugs: annoying bugs at the summit due to lack of wind

Comments
Comments: Beautiful trails. The lightly traveled trails are always a pleasure. Lots of work going on on Lowe's path; a crew was moving big rocks near the log cabin, and the trail has been brushed lately. Had lots of fun in the boulders in King Ravine, and Chemin was a fun climb. Found tadpoles in Star Lake.
