Ella Stroud is a 0.75 mile nearly flat lollipop shaped trail near the Buzzell Cemetery on Shellcamp Road in Gilmanton, recently refreshed by the Gilmanton Recreational Trail Tenders. Trails have been cleared, blazes have been added, brush has been cut back, the trailhead sign has been restored. About 1/10 mile in, the foot trail and the snowmobile trail diverge and rejoin so hikers can avoid a low spot that is always muddy. Then the foot and snowmobile trails diverge entirely another 1/10 of a mile later, with the foot trail going left and the snowmobile trail crossing Shellcamp Rd and leaving the area. While it is a nice walk in the woods, there aren’t really any views on this trail.
