| Comments: |
I wanted to check out the recently opened relocation on the lower section of the Mt Major Trail. 134 cut granite steps placed in this half mile section of new trail. The trail winds its way through some nice forest and lots of large boulders. Very well constructed and should last a long time. It rejoins the original trail just before the long flat stretch avoiding the eroded chute that it used to climb through.
Trails were dry with zero mud. Views were limited some today due to cloud cover to the north. Leaves are still mostly green with a bit of early yellow mixed in. |
