Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Glen Boulder parking lot is closed due to construction, parking alongside Route 16 was fine (Monday morning), but could get dicey on a weekend. The trail is accessible on the south side of the lot from the highway via herd path. We also used the Rocky Branch lot to make this trip a point to point.

Comments
Comments: Decently windy up top there on Glen Boulder, but a good clear day. We did not encounter a sign for the closure of the Glen Boulder trail prior to the Diretissima trail on our way up, but a heads up there is one at that junction. Accessing the trail from Route 16 as noted above was not an issue, and we were well out of the way of the workers. We smelled some strong campfire smoke just below Slide Peak, but didn't see smoke or sign of anyone; it wasn't hazy or smoky from Canada so we were left puzzles. The trails were surprisingly dry, with only a few patches of mud on the Davis Path between Isolation East and West, and one more notable patch between Isolation East junction and the summit spur. A lovely uncrowded trail day. We followed the Iso Express whack down to Isolation East trail, and found that someone has blazed it...yuck. It doesn't always maintain the best route for travel, so we found ourselves reverting to previous whack routes.
