Comments
Comments: It was a warm evening so I cowboy-camped off the Carter Ledge trail Thursday night (after a whack to West Moat from the Boulder Loop earlier that day). I should have brought more water up because after dinner I spilled a pint on the ground and then I was down to 3 pints for the next day. Very dry up there! Had the trails and summits to myself until coming back over the sisters from Chocorua around 9:00 am. Heading down the MS trail I took a detour to bag the 3 Blue summits for the 500 highest list. There is a cool little stagnant pond in between but I didn’t filter from it. It was mostly good woods in there, tricky summits but I did find all 3 jars. The east jar had water in it and a fresh (soggy) pad inside. I did not find a jar on Spruce Hill but there was one on West Moat. 5 trail-less peaks checked off, plus some cool rocky trails I’d not been on yet.
