Spectacular hike up the Davis Path to the Isolation campsite hitting the various side peaks on the way. The Davis Path is awesome, not too steep, and a nice smooth tread for the most part, views galore, and very little mud. The main purpose of this report is to point out that water sources have slowed to a trickle. Bring extra water. Both sources listed as "reliable" in FarOut (the one on the way to Resolution and the one before Davis) were stagnant, mucky, buggy. I had to bushwhack down a couple hundred feet at the one before Davis to get enough of a trickle with a scoop to fill 1 liter in a couple minutes. There were several smaller streams before this, but they were all slow flowing. Couple other parties at the Iso Campsite on a Friday night. Again, had to hike down the Isolation trail about a mile to the 1st crossing of Rocky Branch to get water. Trail itself was wet, but no flow. |
