| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We drove all the way on Carter Mountain Rd to the start of the trail. We have a wrangler and even still, it made us a big seasick tho it wasn't that bad.... not sure I'd drive it in anything else. Room for several cars at the start of the trail at the earthen berm where the trail starts. |

a couple downed trees but nothing too bad. Some nice yellow blazing now that is actually visible when you ascend. It used to be there was blazing that was only obvious when you were heading down. Thank you!!! |

Terrific quick after-lunch hike. About a mile each way (850' vert). Cabin at summit in terrific shape with nice new deck. We did not step inside. Note, there is a blue barrel at cabin at summit that has a ton of water in it if you stay at cabin, easy enough to bring a water filter and have plenty of water. Stream crossing just down from summit was completely dry. Hazy views from both summits. |
